Hi We have recently returned from Rwanda and found your guide very useful. We used a local Kigali firm to make most of our arrangements and found them very helpful and flexible, altering routes etc as we moved around the country. Martha Nyakairu at Eco-Tours (firstname.lastname@example.org) was our contact. They were able to tailor accommadation to budget such as suggesting the Moriah Hills hotel in Kibuye which was superb and much friendlier than Hotel Centre Bethanie.Great views, very clean, good service and a wide menu.
In Nyungwe National Park Eco-Tours were able to arrange for us to be guided by Thierry Hitimana who besides being very knowledgeable and likeable was full of energy.Besides the treks to the chimps at Cyamudongo from the ORTPN headquarters there are also at least 13 other trials worth trying. As you suggest in the guide the Kamiranzovu waterfall is excellent (we were there in the ‘short rains’). Using local guides also enabled us to meet lots of the locals (often relatives), try local resaurants and even some banana beer in a hut in a village in the middle of nowhere.
