Eating out in Karongi/Kibuye

Nick Johnson writes:

Hotel Centre Bethanie is no longer ‘dry’. It has a well stocked bar. Also, breakfast is included in the rooms prices. The view from the front cottages is the finest in Karongi and ,when we were there last wek, augmented by the glow of the Congolese volcano.

We ate at Moriah Hills and Cormoran Lodge on successive nights, and Cormorant won hands down. Besides the pizzas, there is an ambitious French menu with frogs legs, Burundian eels (delicious) and much more. You need a 4×4 or moto to get there though.
