The Garden House, a new owner-managed B&B in Musanze

Proprietor Elaine Gardner writes:
My husband Kavos Senyana and I bought a property in Musanze a while ago and have been busy converting it into a guest house called The Garden House.
We’ve been open a bit more than 2 years, with 4 en-suite rooms and since then, earlier this year with a 5th room.
Our guests are all a result of word-of-mouth, a great number returning several times and also recommending new guests.
We provide B&B accommodation and the property comprises a main house, guest annex, private parking, extensive green gardens and volcano views. Our rates, including breakfast, are 40,000rf (70$) for double occupancy and 35,000rf (60$), single occupancy. For triple occupany, (50,000rf), we have two rooms with a double bed plus a single bed.
It is on grid B3 of the map on p 216 of the 5th edition – far enough off the main road for quiet, but within walking distance of amenities such as restaurants, bars and commerce.
Directions are as follows: Coming from Kigali, stay straight on main street through town centre as far as the District Offices. Take the first left after this (immediately before the Gorillas and Muhabura Hotels) then continue a few hundred metres to the first crossroads, turn right and the gates, green, 2 white globe lights, are first on left.
Transport arrangements are available for airport, trekking and other itineraries.
