Thanks a lot for your great guidebook on Rwanda. It was a very useful during our 3,5 week holiday in Rwanda in January 2019. The Rwanda beauty and magnificient people has left a long lasting impression on us.
As a great local guide we especially recommend Jado (http://kigalitourism.com). Jado has lived all his life in the Kigali neighbourhood Nyamirambo and gives unique local expeditions around his “hood”. We got to know Jado when he was our skilled and cheerful guide and Kinyarwanda language teacher on our 4 day hiking trip on the Congo Nile Trail (booked through Rwandan Adventures).
The information on tickets for Nyungwe National Park requires clarification. Only Chimpanzee Trekking needs to be booked in advance. We did not book other walking tours in Nyungwe beforehand and had no problem booking the tours when we arrived at Uwinka park office at 9 am (it was the low season and not busy).
We rented a car through http://www.rentacarrwanda.com/, it was cheap and extremely hassle free, with delivery and pick up at our hotel.
