Ihema View Campsite, Akagera National Park

Thanks to updater Sean Connolly for alerting to me to this new development just days after the 7th edition of Bradt Rwanda went to print:

The Community Freelance Guides Cooperative at Akagera has established a campsite just outside the park on the ridge overlooking Lake Ihema. Its called Ihema View Campsite, and it looks to be a great option for those arriving later in the day who want to access the park early the following morning. The views are spectacular and the campsite can  provide tents and other camping equipment. Amenities include a small bar, a viewing deck and ablution block. Activities include a park fence walk, bicycle rides, cultural dances & the opportunity to buy local produce, arts & crafts. For more details, call 0784 904 806, or visit the Community Freelance Guides Cooperative’s facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ACOFREGCO/
